Explain how the characters of the hero fits the action/adevnture genre?
In Bourne identity the role of the hero fits into the role as the man is always in the lead, showing the way . They usually search and scan the area and always alert. The guy talks to himself as he is checking around as if he trusts himself with the information that he has found. As he is more alert and has a idea whats going on and grabs a knife for protection but drops it as the girl comes not to scare her as she is oblivious. Showing he watches what he does and how it could effect them. When the 'attack' happens he has a cooking knife against a machine gun but still shows bravery and still fights. He is also resourceful as he is defenceless and is a fast thinker and is resourceful and uses a pen to stab the enemy. He wins the fight and takes control of the situation and commands the girl to grab her stuff and they go.

how does the mise-en-scene in he martian clip effects to fit the ACtion/adventure genre?
In the mies-en-scene is made my different convictions, such as the setting where the location is set in a place where no one has seen(mars). They made it look so realistic as they made it a red/brown colour in the background. Also empty and deserted looking as there are no life forms alive there. Also as the storm comes, the background changes to a dark and dangerous looking place which causes many problems such as losing a team mate. Another convention would be the props that are used such as the high technology which is more advanced and better and also sophisticated, showing its something new and something that we won't be familiar with that type of technology. Another would be the ladder as it was constantly used as an escape but also during the sand storm it looked angelic as it was the only light in the storm and was there way out of the problem that they was currently in. The performance ,where the actors play the characters , made it look really realistic as they had to use different facial expressions as they are in a complicated situations and would have to think quick and not waste time or it would cost them. The body language was also another good part of the performance as they had to make it look as they was struggling.
Soundtrack 'king ARTHUR'
The start of the clip was a typical start as it opens with non-diegetic music and diegetic gusts of wind which the music and gusts of wind set the tension of the situation and how the scene is. As it goes on the non-diegetic music changes where it dominates a mix of loud , fast and tensional with diegetic sounds of movement and weaponry such as bows and arrows being drawn or swords being pulled out, knowing these sounds are only heard when a fight scene is coming on next. The sound plays a big part impact as it shows who is strong , in this case is the is the hero even through they are out numbered. This fits into action/adventure as it shows how it brings power into each scene.
cinematography 'guardians of the galaxy'
There are many shots ,angles in the guardians of the galaxy to show action and adventure movies. One example would be different types of shots such as the establishing shot at the beginning to show the usual place that looks full of danger and adventure. Another example would be the tracking/ panning which is done as the hero , in the chase scene , moves with the hero making t see we are looking and viewing things from his point.
editing 'man from uncle'
In the clip it uses many split screens such as the beginning it shows the use of pace at the start of the clip shows lots of short split scenes that keep switching which shows the action and how fast the scene is moving because of all the fighting. Another example of editing is the use if cross cuts during the chase scene in the clip, this effects how the audience see's the scenes. This is a 3 way cross cut to show the two heroes and the villain in an intense chase, which builds tension on what is going to happen next. The use of cross cut adds to the tension between the characters and as there are 3 there is more tension as the villain is outnumbered and try to escape with the "damsel in distress".
sicario representation
In this clip there are many stereotypes , one would be the gender , as there is there is only one female though out the clip it shows how men dominate the clip as there is more men and how they act. They are mostly controlling as they give orders to the women who takes the orders and does them. The women is in the back seat which she doesn't have much power and the men do all the work. The Americans look strong , experienced, young ,clean. Where as the Mexicans look untrained ,messy ,tattoo's which look intimidating and unattractive.
The woman looks less experienced as she doesn't know what is going on , showing thats the stereotypical thought of women not knowing anything and more like a damsel in distress.
The Mexicans are not so good with technology and represented as they came from somewhere poor , this is shown from the cheap , dusty and dirty cars and the lack of advanced weaponry. Where as the Americans have big, clean and expensive cars and better and advanced weaponry. This is stereotypical for americans to have better products and weaponry than Mexican people as America is wealthy.
In the end the woman looks out and sees a police officer-who is Mexican - turning to shoot her. But she fires back. This finds everyday stereotypical saying of Mexico having a corrupt society and system. Where the police don't help but turn on you. As she fires back the men on her side also turn to shot,to protect and help her.

LARA CROFT REPRESENTED
In the extract there are several people being represented. For example in this clip there are many people are shown stereotypically such as the woman, stereotypically she would've been seen as a object that looks pretty. Which is half true as she is dressed and was looked to be 'sexy' as her clothes are seen and worn to reveal her figure. The non-stereotypical part of the female is that she is the hero and she is smart skilled one also that she doing things which are productive , for example when they saw the light glow she has said 'its mine' and climbed up and also fought the bad guys. Angelina Joline is a American actor playing a British part.
Other people were shown stereotypically where the Chinese men had looked evil as they were seeking around and wearing black which shown they are the villains.

Discuss in detail how one programme offers audience pleasures. give example from the programme?
Friends offers many audience pleasures. Firstly by having , the theme tune upbeat which makes it sound really friendly, enjoyable and catchy. The settings to the most of the scenes are all friendly and homey, which the audience is used to as they see it all the time. The characters are also familiar with the audience as each character has its own unique personality and problems but they all work together
